so here's an update
So I haven't done super serious job hunting this week. I have emailed my resume to a couple companies looking for office clerks/receptionists, but it seems that each email gets returned because the email address is wrong. Which is weird, cuz I copy and paste directly from the website they advertised on, so it's not my typing that's at fault.
Otherwise, I get up at 4:30am, head out at 5:30am, deliver papers until 6:30am and then come home and either go back to bed for a couple hours, or make some coffee and stay up all day.
Wednesday I decided to go for a walk. I was gonna go down to Victoria Park and read, but then got stopped at Tecumseh cuz there was too much traffic to try to jaywalk across the street. Sure, I could have walked a block to a crosswalk, but I didn't feel like it. So I turned around and went up to Windsor Grove Cemetary and wandered around there for awhile. It turned out to be kinda interesting. I went on the premise of trying to find my landlady's mother's grave (cuz she talks about her all the time, it feels like I know her). I didn't find it, but I did find a couple graves for Sinclairs. It was really peaceful.
Yesterday was a beautiful day, and I spent it mostly indoors. I had gotten a couple books from the library, and since I finished the first one the day before, I decided to sit on the couch and just read all afternoon. I'm reading "The Divide" by Nicholas Evans. He's the same guy who wrote "The Horse Whisperer." Anyway, before I knew it, it was 5pm and I was already halfway through. So far, it's a really good book.
Oh, and also on Wednesday, my friend Marie called me. We've chatted occassionally on MSN, where she's constantly begging me to get out of Windsor and move to Toronto. I know she means well, but everytime she pumps Toronto up as the place to be, I just feel bad cuz my move there isn't going to happen anytime soon. First I want to finish my degree, then I will move to Cosmopolitanica and crash on her couch til I find a job and a place of my own. Anyway, we were chatting, and there were some things she wanted to tell me, but she's paranoid of talking about it on MSN, especially at work, so she called me on the phone. It was sooo good to hear her voice again, and I was reminded of how much I miss her. But at least she's doing well.
Anyway, not much else is new. Mom wants me to come home for Easter, so I need to find someone to do my papers on the Saturday. I'm thinking of moving out of where I'm living. Either moving back home for a little while, or at least moving closer to the U. Cuz I'm seriously going to go back to school in September and FINALLY finish my degree. I only have about a semester left to do. Actually, I think I'm gonna take 3 courses and a choir, and then go part-time during the winter semester to finish up everything else. Or maybe I'll upgrade some of the courses I've already taken so I can be full-time for both semesters. Either way, I want to be graduated and convocated by Summer 2007. At which point I can finally join the rest of my bohemian friends in Comopolitanica, aka The Centre of the Universe, Toronto.
