There is no sadder sight than a young pessimist.

READ: The Gun Seller, Hugh Laurie
Picked this up after Dan O'Brien over at
Cracked mentioned it in one of his articles, absolutely adored it. Funny, well written, with a likable cast of characters and good, slow build. Best read aloud in your best British accent.
HEARD:
As Bright As Your Night Light, Nerves Junior
Good, reliable indie alterative music. After a month of listening, I doubt I could sing along with any one of the songs, but I'd still listen straight through the entire album.
The Stars Are Indifferent to Astronomy, Nada Surf
Not sure how I feel about this album. Feels like it's living in some no man's land between pop, alterative and hard rock music. A fine effort, but just not to my taste.
WROTE: 3531
Entirely comprised of my daily (though not quite daily, yet) writing. No headway on Walking Wounded.
WATCHED:
Being Human UK Series 1 and 2
First season was a delight, the second went downhill fast. Still, the cast is likable, George is delightful, and their vampires are incredibly, horribly lame (They don't need blood to survive! Who does that?).
Being Human US Series 1
I started watching this briefly when it aired last year, but gave up for reasons I can't quite recall. It's a great show, with a solid main cast and an incredible supporting one (Mark Pellegrino is my "Hey It's That Guy" MVP this year).
VISITED: Monet at Giverny, Picasso Master Prints, Nick Cave: Meet Me at the Center of the Earth, Cincinnati Art Museum
Monet was, sadly, predictable. Picasso, while not my favorite artist, demonstrated some interesting technique. Nick Cave is a giant weirdo, whose life-sized full body suits are incredible pieces of art, and make for a great, new coffee table book.
