They called it the ‘chain of command’, jokingly, and everyone agreed it was one of the best instalments in the holding facility, at least since the all-purpose cleaning unit had been integrated.
I just finished a 7800-word original short story; my longest piece of writing yet. I finally posted it yesterday, after a bunch of final edits, and just. I'm just so proud of it. Took me two months to write the whole thing, from the very first snippet I posted for lukadron to yesterday, when it all went public.
Lots of people have written longer stories, and better ones, and more original. But this one is mine, and I love it, and I'm fucking proud.
Go read if you like. :D The canon is sort of unknown, but I've been told it doesn't detract from the experience, and who knows? You might end up curious.
In conclusion: Yes. Today is a good day.
