Chapter 8
“Chi, what if the guards recognize you? Your hat and glasses don’t disguise you that much,” Takaki said with worry plastered on his face. They were waiting for the train that would take them to Yomiuri Land, the amusement park they were heading to. Chinen looked up at Takaki through his glasses.
“I’ve told you so many times already, it’s okay! You’re worrying too much, Yuuyan~,” Chinen tilted his head to the side with cute smile while saying that.
‘Damn! The glasses just make him even cuter! Don’t smile like that anymore, or I can’t hold back, Chi!’ Takaki turned his head to the side and covered his mouth and nose to prevent the unwanted nosebleeds.
“Yuuyan? What’s wrong? Why are you covering your mouth like that? Are you sick?” Chinen asked worriedly, rubbing Takaki’s shoulder slightly.
“Uh, no.. It’s nothing…” Takaki tried to hide his blush. Good for him because Chinen just shrugged his shoulder off and averted his attention to the coming train.
“Hey, that’s our train. Let’s go, Yuuyan!” Chinen grabbed Takaki’s hand and dragged him into the train with the brightest smile on his face.

Although it’s not rush hours, but the train was full enough because it was weekend. There were no empty seats so they had to stand. The train stopped at the next station and more passengers filled the train. They cornered onto the door. Takaki noticed that Chinen was almost squished so he pulled Chinen to stand in front of him with his back on the door. Takaki placed his hands on the door beside Chinen’s head and ‘guarded’ him from the squishing.
Chinen looked up at Takaki and blushed. He never rode a train before so he didn’t know that the train could be so full like this. And he wouldn’t expect that Takaki would be guarding him like that. He smiled and leaned his head onto Takaki’s chest. He could hear Takaki’s heart beat. And he realized that the thumps of Takaki’s heart beat were increasing. He giggled and felt flustered because he’s the one who makes Takaki’s heart beat thumping like that.
“Ne, Yuuyan, your heart beat is beating so fast right now,” Chinen teased him.
“W- whose fault is that? If you’re not leaning on me like that, it won’t be beating so fast!” Takaki stuttered. He fisted his hands in order to prevent himself from hugging Chinen and kissing him there. ‘Argh, I really need to hold back!’
Chinen giggled even more and he knew that Takaki would be blushing right then. But he didn’t say anything. He just leaned even more and clutched Takaki’s shirt with his hands. He loved the warmth of Takaki’s body. And he would be enjoying that for sure although they were in public.

The train had arrived in the station they headed to. From that station, they used the Gondola Sky Shuttle to reach the park. Just like what they’d expected, there were so many people who were going to amusement park too. There are lots of families with their children using the same gondola with them. Chinen was as hyper as the little kids there.
It just took 5 minutes or so before they got into the gate park. Takaki paid the entrance ticket while Chinen was wandering around with sparkling eyes. When he had done, Takaki approached Chinen who was grabbing his hand immediately and dragging him to enter the park.
Once they got into the park, they saw a lot kind of roller coasters. Chinen dragged Takaki to those roller coasters and tried various kind of it. They were screaming and laughing out loud, enjoying their time together. And not just the roller coasters, they also rode Sky Cycle and Wave Swinger.
“Yuuyan, let’s go to Haunted House! And House of Terror seems interesting too!” Chinen exclaimed cheerfully.
“Um, Chi, can’t we go to the Merry-Go-Round instead?” Takaki scratched his hair slightly.
“Wha~t? Are you afraid of ghost? Yuuyan, you’re much older than me!” Chinen teased him, poking his side lightly.
“I- I’m not afraid. It’s just… I don’t really like it,” Takaki tried to evade from Chinen’s gaze on him.
“In other words, you’re afraid. Oh, come on. It can’t be that scary. Let’s go!” Chinen pulled Takaki from his spot to enter the Haunted House.
It was dark and they stepped slowly. Takaki clutched on Chinen’s arm firmly, looking around to see if anything would come up anytime soon. Then there was a woman with long hair and white clothes turned around to face them, Takaki and Chinen screamed and ran to the other side of the house. Then they saw mummy, kappa, and various monsters and ghosts, before they finally saw the light of the exit door. But before they reached the door, they felt something cold and slippery on their nape. Once again they screamed and ran to the door. They was panting because of the running and screaming. After they caught their breath, they burst into laughter.
“Who said it can’t be that scary, huh?” Takaki said between his laughter.
“But I don’t think that it can be that scary! Hahaha.”
“So, where we go now?”
“Um, I’m kinda hungry.”
“Okay, then.”
Once again, Chinen took Takaki hand and walked hand in hand. Takaki looked at their connected hands. Chinen noticed Takaki’s gaze and looked up at him.
“What?”
“Um, we’re both boys, you know.”
“Yes, of course I aware that we’re both boys. So?”
“Well, isn’t it a bit… weird if two boys holding hands?”
“Oh, don’t worry. Thanks to my little body, they’ll be mistaken me as your little brother. It’s not weird for brothers to hold hands, right?” Chinen smiled cutely.
“You’re right. Okay, let’s go then!”
They were heading a family restaurant named Goodday near the entrance gate. They picked a table and read the menu. Takaki ordered curry rice and Chinen ordered omelet rice. They ate together happily. It’s like no one could bother them.

After finishing their meal, they looked around to find dessert. They bought soft ice cream and chocolate ice cream crepes. Then they went to the Merry-Go-Round in front of the restaurant. They ate their dessert while riding the dog shaped seats. Then they went to see sea lion show and played Go-Kart.
They played until the sun almost set. Takaki reminded Chinen to go home already, but Chinen still had one attraction to ride before go home. It’s Ferris Wheel.
“It’s a date, isn’t it? So we have to ride it,” Chinen said when Takaki told him to go home already.
“Fine, but after riding that, we have to go home, okay?!” Takaki patted Chinen’s hair before heading to the Ferris Wheel.
They got into one of the cart and Takaki could see Chinen’s satisfied face. Then the cart started moving. Chinen looked outside the window, adoring the beautiful view. Takaki couldn’t avert his eyes from Chinen’s beautiful face instead of the beautiful view.
“Chi, come here,” Takaki said while patting his laps, silently ordering Chi to sit on his laps. Chinen was gladly obeying him and sitting on his laps. Takaki hugged his thin waist once he had sat on his laps and placed his chin on Chinen’s shoulder.
“Hmm, I like it better,” Takaki hummed.
“I like it too,” Chinen giggled.
“So, am I forgiven now?” Takaki asked.
“No.” Chinen pretended pouting.
“Eh? But I’ve taken you on a date, right?”
“But you haven’t kissed me yet,” Chinen pouted cutely. Takaki chuckled hearing Chinen’s reason. He told Chinen to turn around and sit again on his laps but facing him now.
“Now, what do you want?” Takaki asked teasingly.
“Kiss me,” Chinen whispered slowly.
And that was all Takaki needed to close the distance between them and started kissing him. Soft and innocent kisses weren’t remained for so long. Takaki started to nudge his tongue on Chinen’s lower lip. He had restrained himself from kissing and touching Chinen all this day. All the restrains he had were broken once his lips met Chinen’s. Chinen whimpered a little bit but parted his mouth nonetheless. Takaki explored the hot cavern with his tongue immediately. They kissed like that until they needed to catch their breath. They panted slightly and realized that they almost reached the ground. The staff opened their cart to let them out. Both of Takaki and Chinen’s face were red.
“S-so… we have to go home now,” Takaki said, still blushing over the fact they almost got caught kissing.
“Ah, yes… but before that, I want to go to the restroom first,” Chinen said, his face was still red.
“Okay, I’ll wait here then.”
And then, Chinen went to find a restroom while Takaki waited and sat on the nearest bench. He was so happy right now. He was glad they could go on date like that.
‘It’s so fun. I need to go on a date again soon. Chinen is really adorable. Maybe I can take him to Disney Land. Or we can go to the beach. It’s summer already! Oh, I really want to go to the beach. But he’ll need sunglasses instead of his glasses now. Wait, glasses? Oh my god! I forgot about his disguise! And how long it’s been? Why he hasn’t back? Crap!’ Takaki stood abruptly and ran to find Chinen in the restroom.
“Chinen?” Takaki called. No one answered.
“Chinen, are you there? Answer me!” Takaki started panicked.
A stall door was opened but revealed an old man. The other stalls were empty. Takaki exited the restroom and tried to find him in the other restrooms, but it’s just the same. He couldn’t find Chinen anywhere. He tried to go back to where he had waited near the Ferris Wheel, but he’s not there. He slumped to the ground. Something clicked in his head.
‘They caught him.’
