Chapter 6
Yabu of ten came to their apartment since then. It seemed that their project hadn’t done yet. There was even nights when he needed to stay over at their place. Of course Takaki didn’t mind about it at all since Yabu’s his best friend. But he didn’t notice Chinen’s pains, seeing them together. He was too engrossed on their project and barely paying attention to Chinen. Chinen knew that it was for their score grade, but he felt left out alone. Takaki always slept in the living room whenever Yabu was staying over. They always slept on the couch while Chinen was sleeping in the bedroom alone.
But whenever Yabu wasn’t at their apartment, Takaki would be back to spoil the younger boy and never stop hugging, kissing or ruffling his hair. He liked Takaki the most when Yabu wasn’t around. He might be selfish, but he didn’t like to share Takaki with someone else. He loved Takaki that much, yet he had to bear the feeling to hug Takaki whenever Yabu was there.
‘I can do it’

Yabu was there, again. They took a break and had dinner with Chinen together. They were eating silently when Yabu suddenly asked Chinen something.
“Say Chinen, have I seen you somewhere before we met? I’m pretty sure I’ve had seen your face somewhere, but I don’t really remember.”
Takaki choked his rice and coughed repeatedly until Chinen giving him a glass of water and rubbing his back. Takaki tried to swallow the rice and glaring at Yabu, who were laughing at him.
“Ba~ka!” Yabu said between his laughs.
“Well, that’s your fault!”
“What? I’m just asking Chinen, and the question even doesn’t relate to you!”
“You-!” Takaki was ready to snap back at Yabu but Chinen cut his sentence.
“Maa, maa, no need to fight back. All I need to do is answering the question, right?” Chinen said, staring at Takaki who glared at him with ‘don’t-say-it’ look.
“You’re really clever, ne, Chinen chan. Not like the Baka Boy here.”
“Oi!”
“I doubt we have met somewhere, Yabu kun. I rarely go out,” Chinen replied. Takaki sighed in relief.
“But your face seems familiar to me. Oh, maybe you’ve been on TV or something? With your cute face I won’t be surprised if it’s true.” This statement made Takaki choked on his water this time. “Geez, Yuya! What’s wrong with you? Why do you keep on choking?”
“Umm, nothing. Why don’t you just cut it off? I’m sure it’s just your imagination. There’s no way you have met him before, right? Umm, Kota, how is your sister? You said she’s sick,” Takaki tried to divert their conversation, which was successful because Yabu seemed pretty much easy to be diverted.
“What? It’s rare of you to ask about my sister? Do you finally have feeling towards her? Ahaha, she’ll go crazy if she knows that you asking about her condition,” Yabu chuckled.
“No, I’m just asking. Am I wrong?”
“Of course not. It’s just weird to hear you asking about her.”
Meanwhile, Chinen stayed silent. He just played with his food, didn’t eat it. He didn’t know how to join the conversation. He had used to have Yabu around him, but somewhat he couldn’t deny that he would rather go sleep than watching Takaki and Yabu together. Yet he couldn’t hate Yabu because he was so nice to him. He always pampered and spoiled him, almost as often as Takaki did. Chinen liked him. But it couldn’t drive the jealousy in his heart away.

Takaki and Chinen were cuddling on the bed, ready to sleep. Takaki liked it when Chinen was in his arms. And Chinen liked to snuggle into Takaki’s chest and savored their body heats. Takaki was brushing Chinen’s bangs and staring lovingly at him. Sometimes he placed a chaste kiss on his lips. Chinen would giggle whenever Takaki did that. But then something popped up on Chinen’s mind.
“Ne, Yuuyan, why are you trying so hard to keep my identity in secret?” Chinen asked, slightly tilted his head to the side.
“Umm, actually I don’t even know myself,” Takaki replied.
“Eeh? Isn’t that weird? You must have some reasons!” Chinen insisted.
“Maybe it’s because I don’t want anyone to know about you. I’m selfish, you know. I don’t like to share my belongings to other people. I like to have you for myself.”
Chinen was a little bit blushing by Takaki’s reply. They shared the same feeling about it. He didn’t expect Takaki would answer it like that. But he tried so hard not to show it.
“You are just sweet talking to me,” Chinen faked a pout.
“I’m not. And if you pout, you just make me want to kiss you,” Takaki chuckled.
“Kiss me then!”
Takaki was giggling before actually kissing him. Chinen smiled in the kiss. He liked it when they were alone. Takaki would be like this, so sweet and full of love, just like his kisses. They stayed like that for a while before Chinen broke the kiss.
“Actually I don’t mind if Yabu kun knows. Or anyone. I don’t really care. I just want to be with you,” Chinen said with sparkling eyes. Takaki smiled at him and ruffled his hair, like he usually did.
“But Chii chan, if everyone knows about you, we won’t be together. They’ll find you and take you home. We will be separated. They won’t allow you to live here with me anymore. Do you understand?”
“… yes. I don’t really like it, lying to people. Well, it’s just Yabu kun who knows that I’m here, but I still feel bad.”
“You’re a good boy, ne, Chii chan. Now, just dropt this subject and let’s sleep. A good boy should have been sleeping now.”
“Fine,” Chinen snuggled closer. Takaki kissed his forehead for a good night kiss before sleeping.
“Good night, Chii,” Takaki whispered in his ear.
‘Good night.’

The apartment door was ringing. Chinen rushed to go to the front door to open it. He found Yabu alone all drenched out. It was raining that day and seemed that Yabu didn’t bring any umbrella. Chinen let him in and went to the closet to get towel for Yabu.
“Where’s Yuuyan?” Chinen asked, handing the towel to Yabu once he had back.
“Ah, he forgot to buy the materials so he goes to buy it. It’s nearby so it won’t take a long time, so don’t worry,” Yabu explained while drying his wet hair.
“Oh, okay then. Yabu kun, change your clothes. It’s all wet. You can use Yuuyan’s clothes.”
“Ahaha, I thought so too. Thanks, Chinen,” Yabu ruffled his hair and off to the closet.
Yabu stomped into the living room after he had changed his clothes, while Chinen went to the kitchen to make some hot chocolates. When he’d done, he came into the living room and placed the hot chocolates on the table. Yabu picked it and drank it almost immediately.
“Aaah~ warm. But I’m still cold,” Yabu rubbed his hand on the warm cup to warm himself.
“Do you want to use the blanket? I can get it for you,” before Yabu got the time to answer it, Chinen had gone to the bedroom to get it.
“Here, use this.”
“Thank you.” Yabu wrapped himself with the blanket, just like a cocoon. Chinen giggled seeing Yabu wrapped in a blanket like that.
“What? Are you making fun of me?” Yabu pretended to be angry.
“No! It’s just… sort of funny to see you like this,” Chinen giggled even more.
“That’s called making fun, young boy! Here, let me make you into a cocoon too!” Yabu stood up and started to chase him.
“Don’t want to~ I don’t wanna be a cocoon. Hahaha….”
Chinen fled himself from Yabu. But Yabu was faster and stronger so he could trap him in no time. Chinen tried to struggle but it was a futile attempt. Yabu sat him on his laps and wrapped their selves with the blanket so they looked like a big cocoon. They were laughing and suddenly they heard something fell on the floor with a low thud. Takaki was staring at them. Chinen noticed the uneasy look on Takaki’s face while Yabu seemed didn’t notice it at all and still laughing.
‘Uh oh, it’s bad,’
