First things first. December 2005 song of the month goes to a woman who's been around for quite awhile. Madonna earns top honors with her catchy new release "Hung Up"
I'm back home finally after a few weeks here and there. Great times in Clinton and Myrtle Beach as expected. A million stories, a million memories, but I'll save it for my upcoming project.
I have a big plan for 2006...two actually.
1) Get my English B.A.
This is going to be achieved (but not easily) by taking 18 hours this semester, 9 in the summer and 16 in the fall.
2) Write a book
While I realize it may not be completed within the years duration, I plan on taking the first steps towards authoring a memoir of my unique adoption/biological search story. I hope that everyone's desire to find their roots will connect with this book. My dream is that this book will top the charts. It's huge ambition, but there is no point not to try it. If it doesn't work, at least my family and I will always have an account of what happened.
One other thing I want to recognize is the 2005 song of the year. This award will go to Tiesto's "Heroes". The title says alot to me. This year would have been impossible had it not been for some heroic acts by the ones I love. This was January's song of the month, and I feel it just really was the strongest track of the year for me personally. So cheers to Tiesto for spinning a great track.
2005...what can I say. To understate it's importance, I think that it'll never be forgotten and that's all you can expect from any year that rolls by. To commemorate what I have learned this past year, I've thought of a list of what my expiereinces have taught me this year.
-There is a huge difference between knowledge and wisdom. Strive for wisdom.
-Balance is one's life is an immeasurably important task, but not an easy one.
-If you have done all you can, paitience is your greatest ally.
-Always dream big. When dissapointment sets in, search deep for lessons learned.
-Take an opportunity once in awhile.
-Be ambitious, but don't let it consume you.
-Quite simply: do what feels right.
Surely, all these things have been said before, but I think this year and my expieriences really highlighted them. Thanks for your time
