D. D.~
This place is colder than Belize's winter, officially. I am slowly forgetting the smell of sweat and the desire for a quick cold shower. A cold shower here would be treacherous and unimaginable.
I've got to give thumb-ups to the Corner Brook people, though. They are much friendlier than many Belizeans I've met (in Belize, of course). The city is picturesque, and it holds a completely different feeling from Belize. It's easy to get around the major spots, too. I think I'll like it. Of course, there are issues that I need to get used to: the cooking, the weather, the laundry, the cleaning, and the money management. Ha ha, the last one will be the hardest thing ever. But since I'll be using cash instead of credit cards, maybe things won't be too disastrous. Mom is thrifty anyway, and I will only have CAN$2500 allowance for the whole year. Really, when I was making my annual budget, I shouldn't have be so precise. Instead, I should have exaggerated everything a little so the budget would extend to at least $3500. I'm such an idiot.
Right now, I'm looking forward to September 5th when everyone will be moving in the dorm. It's a little lonely here~ But I manage. I have to review math for the placement test anyway. Looking at the sample test, the difficulty of the test should give me no problem whatsoever, but I don't want to be over-confident, screw up, and have to take a lower level class. It's funny that I actually have to take an English placement test as well since my first language is Mandarin. I have no interest in preparing for that test, though. To be exact, I don't even know the testing style.
Oh shoot. I just read the orientation schedule! There is swimming time! Oh freaks. Oh Bloody HELL. Free swim in September in this place?! Oh bloody sandwich. Someone save me!!!
