I looked deep into her eyes today
Hidden behind confidence and self-doubt
Below the mischievous twinkle
And just past the sorrowful tear
Was what drew me deeper to her
Edged with an earthy brown
Life flowed from her toward me
I swam in her worries
Drank longingly of her triumphs
