WORK!
Second day of work! Second day of work!
YAY!
Today was far better than yesterday, I met my project mentor and discussed everything that I would help out with on the project. I can even tell you about this project! Its called STSS and here is a link so you can check it out: STSS.
I get to do launch operations for the project and the first two satellites are supposed to launch in about a year and a half. My mentor needs to set up tracking sites in Australia and New Zealand, and he said that since I am on the project now I might get to go with him to do that! How great would that be!?!?!
Also, I got to go to a meeting today! That was pretty neat to listen to people talk about the project and to get confused by all the acronyms. One of the people at the group asked if I was Rex's (my mentor) protege, that was neat because he knows everything! He worked for the company for 27 years, retired and they realized they really needed him to work there so they pay him something like $150 an hour to work Tuesday through Thursday!
I hope tomorrow is as much fun!
