Okay, so I'm watching tv and a commercial for the 5 o'clock news comes on. I guess Vince Neal said Fuck on Jay Leno or something so now all the news stations are crying about it. I'm not even kidding when I say that Channel 5 News called Fuck "the dreaded four letter word." Were they watching too much Christmas Story over the holidays? I decided

The newswhores have to have their ratings and cant let anyone else get a story they dont carry so they do bits about every stupid thing they can think of.

Jay Leno is taped too, so they carry a good part of the blame for not cutting that part out of the interview, but they were after ratings too I would bet.

Oh, I have zero doubt they were after ratings. All the networks have to one up each other. I think someone saying fuck should be like at the end of a newsbroadcast in the "Oops!" category or something. Who the fuck cares!?

Ah well. Can't speak for everybody, but I never heard a word on the telly that I didn't hear at school first.

I wouldn't have been so wound up about it - but the way the newsanchor said it was like the world was collapsing. She got all serious and monotone with this look in her eyes that I cannot explain!

Its definitely my favorite word. Has been for a long time. I dont see the big deal about people on TV saying it at all.
