Lesson Plans are the Bain of my Existence
I freakin HATE lesson plans. They are stupid and useless and such a waste of time. I know what I'm teaching dammit!! It takes like a zillion hours and i hardly even look at them. No teacher uses them once teachers college is over. God damn. Okay rant over.
My classes are pretty good. Grade 11 is awesome and the kids are great. I taught beowulf and it was pretty fun. They liked it i think, all the arms ripping off and whatnot. Im teaching ballads this week so im gonna teach them traditional ballads and then have them listen to smooth criminal and compare them. Hopefully they like that too :) Neely and I had a sleepover weekend this weekened cause my parents went out of time so I taught her how to make quesedillas and we had a good time. Mostly we were working on our lessons and stuff but it was alright. Good times.
Dylan is coming to see me on Thursday so Im super pumped about that. Been missin him while Ive been here. Friday is a PD day so I wont have to worry about lesson planning thursday and I wont be home late on friday :) exciting. Brit is coming to visit the weekend after that so that will be cool. We're gonna go to coffee with Mare, Tim and Jon so that should be fun times. Jon was cool when I met him and Tim and Mare are my buddies.So yeah good times. Then Mom Dad and Brit are gonna drive me and Dylan back to North Bay on Sunday. I will finally get to enjoy my brand new black couch thats super comfy and sexy. Im super excited.
