While passing up Gilman Drive I notice a woman holding out her thumb...
"where are you headed?"
"my car is parked at ralphs"
"sure, hop in"

"ah, yeah that sucks...." - notices accent "so where are you from"
"ah, freiburg germany, it's near the swiss/french border"
"oh, in baden-wurttemburg?"
"yeah, i'm surprised you knew that"
