Death should not be this unspeakable thing in our culture. Have a healthy fear of it, yes, that's normal. We all do! But you can also let death liberate you.
Let it liberate you from the petty, little things in life that simply don't matter. Why allow the guy that cut you off in traffic to upset you? Or someone who has snubbed you? We all get so bogged down by worry and fear and hate and jealousy and it's all for nothing.
The size of your paycheck, what you do for a living, the car you drive, etc. None of this matters.
Death tells us to live now. To focus on the few things that really matter...your family matters. Your friends matter, being a decent person that doesn't deliberately hurt others, matters. Making a difference in this world, matters. Having good health, matters. Having faith, matters. And that's about it.
So live, fully, right now, focus on these things really matters and you will live a happy life. It truly is not any more complicated than that.
