Well, everything here is going pretty darn well in my opinion.
1) Son has finished school for the year. There have been alot of challenges over the past year for him, one of which is living with his diagnosis of bipolar disorder. Well, we have finally found a "drug cocktail" that works for him. And one thing that has proved it is the immense improvement he had over the last quarter of the school year. The area that is "graded" for behavior and socialization in the classroom improved more than I could have hoped for. All year he had been getting "Needs Improvement" and "Unsatisfactory". At the end of this quarter he received all "Meets Expectations" or "Exceeds Expectations". One of the "awards" he got from his teachers and the principal with the "Most Improved Behavior". Let me tell you, I was so happy when I saw all of this and his teachers talked to me about how much things have indeed improved. Of course, there are the days when it seems the medication he is on does not work, but those are now few and far between (thank goodness!!!).
2) Got my yearly review and raise at work. The end of July is the fiscal year end for the college, and I was very pleased with the review and the resulting raise in pay. Just makes things easier all the way around.
3) Almost completely caught up with bills. And that has been a long time in coming, and a struggle to do. But, have managed to live with little to no frills tossing everything that can be spared at the bills. There are just a couple more back mortgage payments and the outstanding amount on the energy bill, and it will be caught up completely. Let me say, I am definitely thankful for that.
Other than that, there is nothing else really noteworthy. Just taking things one day at a time knowing that it will get better. :D
