Hmm... haven't updated in a while

So, an update on my life:

Tonight we had our Celebration of the Arts concert for SWE. It went really well--we nailed Awayday and Cave of the Winds was a hit. "Na-uh Shaniqua" choir performed (yeah Rachel!), and I sang along. This was our last concert of the season for SWE. I have a horn choir performance coming up on Brass Night (April 23), and it should be a really good concert. I'm excited for it.

Stephanie is coming home with me for Easter break. We'll be tootin' our horns for the Lord at my church. It should be a good performance opportunity for both of us. I'm going to show her the glory of Fort Wayne (ha!). But really, it should be a super fun time. I will be able to hang out with my sister as well (hopefully everything will be cool...) and will be able to restock my stash. Whatever, call me an alcoholic--I just like to have a fully loaded bar so that I can offer people a variety of drinks. I'm planning on bringing Stephanie to some of the hot spots over the weekend.

Kristin, Tom, Colleen, Rachel, and I have been busy planning for our "Science is Fun!" party. We finally decided on an approximate date: the weekend of April 21-22 at the cross country house. We are going to have so many awesome themed drinks, ect. We made a list of the different drinks we are going to make; each of the drinks is named after a natural disaster (avalance, blizzard, earthquake, the flood, ect.). We have over 15 test tubes that we are going to take shots of out, including a fish bowl thing. We stole a bunch of kimwipes for coasters. We are going to make some other cool drinks, like "Tsunami," where we are going to have blue jello shots with mini swedish fish at the bottom. We also have games planned, like "Tornadic Twister," which is a variation of Twister but there is a diluted shot on each of the spots. Gretch already has started making Science mixes filled with science-themed songs. Boy, do I love science!

While I am on the topic of parties, this upcoming weekend is Stephanie's birthday weekend! You know what that means... Connor might host a party in her honor. It should be a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to spending time with her this weekend!

So last weekend was a lot of fun. Friday night Stephanie and I went to a pajama party on 3 Adele. It was a lot of fun... and guess what? WE DIDN'T DRINK! I didn't drink on Thursday night either (side note: I didn't drink tonight, Tuesday, even though we don't have school tomorrow!). Saturday night I went to a couple of parties with James, Peter, and Jen. It was a lot of fun. I didn't drink too much (well, 5 or so shots, but it was over the span of 10 pm - 6:30 am). I wanted to stay quasi-sober and make sure that people didn't get sick, ect. There was some pretty crazy drinking going on...

So James and I talked about a few things over the weekend, and I'm really glad that we got to. He means so much to me, and I was glad to hear what he was feeling. He makes me so happy... in fact, I couldn't sleep once I got back, even though I was up until like 8 am or something--I just kept thinking about him. I couldn't sleep Sunday night, or even last night, because he was on my mind. Sure it's creepy, but when someone affects your life in such a wonderful way and when you care about them beyond words, it's hard not to think about them.

Hopefully I'll get to hang out with James, Rachel, Colleen, and some other people before Easter break. The next few weeks are going to be super stressful--I'm so glad I have such wonderful people in my life :)
