d said his interview w/ #3 went well - as well as w/ #1. however, they (say they) have another candidate to interview, and that won't happen 'til the week after next. therefore, more waiting. after researching more, and definitely after interviewing, this company seems to be #2 in order of preference, and may even be #1. that's just counting the positions and companies themselves, not the potential havoc on our lives - that we won't know 'til later.

it's friday, though, and he's almost home (after getting up at 5 am to catch a plane).
