(no subject)
So I'm at Starbucks now...apparently, my neighbors have wisened up on their wireless security. I do have my cable internet hooked up. It worked for about 4 hours yesterday, then went down once it started raining and hasn't come back since. They're supposed to send someone out Tuesday to work on it...also, my internet phone is supposed to arrive sometime around then. I have a feeling this whole having an unstable cable internet connection that my home phone goes through thing is going to present problems. Still can't get any kind of cell phone signal inside the place.
I make really bad decisions. I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of this by now.
In other news, I have my old job back. See, the plan was to walk up to the cookie store and hang a note in the back room asking my old manager if she needs any extra help, to give me a call and I would work on an as-need basis unti I can find a real job. But she turned out to actually be there tonight (which is a definate sign of how desperate times must have become...she NEVER works nights) and I didn't even have to say anything, she just saw me and said "Oh my god, are you back in town? We need a shift manager really bad right now! Here, fill out these papers...when can you start?". So...looks like I'm going to be selling cookies again for a while. I have a feeling I'm going to need a second job, the pay there isn't all that great. But hell, I need a job badly right now and I'd be an idiot to turn it down. Teresa is great to work for as well, I can't say no to her.
Blah. I need something to do tonight that doesn't involve spending money. That could get complicated. Someone should call me while I still have a signal.
I feel like a complete overly-modern ass sitting here in Starbucks drinking a chai latte while typing on my laptop...on livejournal, no less. I should go find some life.
