Brian and I went to 'Royal Leamington Spa' for lunch today. It was kind of a last minute/hesitant decision. I think the both of us were torn between wanting to get out and enjoy the weather for the day, but then the guilt of not doing enough revision kept coming back into our minds. Brian appeared to be pretty tired...and i felt a little silly keeping him waiting for almost an hour while I washed my hair and got dressed...and spoke to my folks on the phone. So i suggested that we stay in and work, but go to Rootes for sunday lunch first. Babe agreed and on our way to Rootes, we ended up changing our minds and decided that we do want to go Leamington after all. Im glad, because i really wasn't in any mood to work...and it would wake me up a bit. It was almost 12.45 before we left campus and only took around 10mins to get to Leam on the direct bus. This was good news to me-a prospective Leam resident.
The Parade had been closed off, so the bus stopped slightly passed it. There was a French market set up in the centre selling everything from French cheese to French handbags. We didn't hang around to investigate much...i didn't want anything anyways. I had spent too much money the other day in Coventry on random clothes and flipflops.
The two of us ate in Mc Donalds...old school style. Cheap and Cheerful is how i like to think of it. We then went into the 'Fopp' CD/DVD store which has decent prices i might add in comparison to say...HMV or Virgin. I was going to look for sunglasses, but i didn't really feel like going in anywhere are physically taking the time to try anything on....plus i would look like a dork in front of Brian..hehe. And! more importantly...i had to control my spending. However we did spend a bit of time in Leam's 'Starbucks' which is NO-WAY near as good as my local in Ealing or even the one in Leicester Square...as i hope Maya would agree with! When it comes to spending quality time in Starbucks, you need couches and a bunch of girly mates to have a long chat with...(sorry honey!). I ordered for Brian and got him a hot mocha. I ordered an iced mocha-my fav, but again it just didn't taste like how they make it in good old Ealing Starbucks! Yummy..!
After spending a fair amount of time looking for the bus stop to get the bus back to Warwick-(our usual stop had been closed for the day due to the market), we found ourselves to be really sleepy. I know i always feel tired after being out in the sun walking or shopping, so we went to sleep on Brian's bed for a while once we got back. Babe is in fact still snoozing, but i wanted to do a bit of laundry. Now im just updating this journal...to avoid studying yet again!
That song 'Fuck You Right Back' by Frankee (the suppossed ex girlfriend of Eamon, whose song is a responce to his 'I don't want you back') is playing on my Winamp player. They sort of remind me of a modern day, watered down corporate record company's version of the feud between poets Plath and Hughes. Its so awful! The language in FURB is completely uneccessary, most notibly 'Your sex was wack' and 'I have had better sex all alooonnng'....Girl-u were only 15!, and that only says one thing if you ask me. Brian and Gio have my full support in their little 'Act your Age' campaign aimed at the corrupted youth of the 21st century and now i sound like my mum...aargh
im going to start some work now...Cya!
