yay!
yay! i got to see liz for a bit while she was home for all of a day and a half or whatever. that was good.
last night was the festival of freedom thing. cynthia and i rode that kamikaze thing 3 times!! it was great fun, but now we're paying for it with major bruising. i have one on each shin, and one on each shoulder, and one that i think is forming on the top of my foot. but it was fun laughing at the people screaming.
then the newsboys! they were really good. there was this little boy, had to be like, 6. and he was singing along and he knew all the words and he was majorly excited just to be there. it was so great to see such a young kid so excited about God. then later i found out he was a minister's kid, which made sense. but that was great, the fireworks were great. i realized afterwards how funny it was that a half foreign band was there at an independence day celebration. haha.
and now the real reason i wanted to update. i'm getting my hair cut today!!! as soon as my mom gets off work i'm going to get about a foot of my hair cut off. i'm excited and not in the least bit worried because even after i cut off a foot, it will still be past my shoulders. the reason i finally convinced my mom to let me get it cut is because i have advising and registration tomorrow and they take a picture of you for your id. so i figure i shouldn't have a foot more of hair on my id that i won't have in the fall. so yay! i'll finally be able to stop wearing it in a bun because it's so f-ing hot in texas. not that it's going to be any cooler in s'port, but it's only like 15 minutes outside of texas. anywho, i need to go to the locks of love website and fill out that form you have to mail in with your pony tail.
my sister said that i should tell them to set aside my hair so they can have a wig of just my hair. but that would take another...14 years. because they'd need about 7 more of my ponytails, (it takes about 13 regular ponytails, but i figure they'd only need about 10 of mine...lol) and i've been doing this every 2 years about. the summers after 8th, 10th, and 12th grade. ok well, i'm going to go enjoy my last 2 hours of having ridiculously long hair. =)
