POKER!!!!
I love the rush. It's incredible. I could do without the smoke, but the rush is wonderful. I'm going back for the second session at 10PM, but felt I needed to write this down for myself for future reference.
LEARN TO GET AWAY FROM HANDS!
My last hand was played perfectly. I lost and even put my money in without the best cards, but I had the lady fooled. She was calling to see my two pair, of which I only had one. I'm proud of my hand that I lost on.
On the other hand, the hand before I lost, I was the big blind and had the big blind special, 7,3 offsuit. I got to check to the flop, and it falls K,K,7. I decide I probably have the best hand, but check (should have bet). The lady across the table puts out 1,000...I call(should have raised). Turn is 3, and I check again(should have bet) and she bet out 1000. I call(should have raised). You see the pattern. I put myself in a position that she could ONLY have a hand that could beat me. If I raise, she might throw away her better hand (9,9) for fear of me having a K and flopping trips. I could have also folded, however unlikely that would be, and lost less money. I had a feeling she had me beat, but I wanted to see it. But instead, I just called the whole way, leaving me facing a hand that had to have, at the very least, another 7, and I wasn't going to out-kicker her. Well, next time, I know. That's what's good about this, you constantly learn.
