Back to Bryan

Well, made it back in one piece. Long road trip today, beginning by leaving Aaron and Jen's house by noon and getting in a 10PM. It was a wonderful day which I enjoyed. First, we left for Dave and Busters to spend some time eating and catching up with Sean. Then, off to Waco to visit her Uncle Bryan and have some tasty Mexican food. Then, more driving. Now, I'm excessively tired. Laura is asleep on the couch almost. It looks like tonight will be a boring night for us. Oh well, the weekend was fun.

In other news, I'm really wanting to get back into poker playing. I miss the conversation with people, the thrills, the fun, and the emotions. It was a fun thing to do back in the day, and I believe it would be a fun thing to continue now-a-days. Who knows, maybe I'm just kidding myself. But I now have the money to play poker without worrying about not making rent the next month or where I'm going to make the money up if I lose. That's a really bad way to get into poker, with the fear of losing money you can't make back. Or trying to make back money you've already lost...these are ways you lose TOO much, and I couldn't take that risk before. Now, I can, so I believe that I can work on my poker and get it back to where I used to be, which was a mediocre player playing in mediocre games...giving me a chance to win occasionally. We'll see how it goes, but I assume fun times are ahead, if I can find a game to play in.
