Amelia-isms and I'm going to hell

I lied to my grandmother today. She called (!!!) because I sent her some of the free popcorn from Dale & Thomas last month, and she loved it. We had a nice chat, and then she asked how everyone was doing, and I said fine.

Somehow I thought she would worry if I said we were fine, y'know except for my chronic severe pain (which the meds aren't helping the last few days), my husband's Lyme (yes, you can get it more than once), the dizziness that almost sent him tumbling down the stairs onto the concrete floor (no carpets yet) and almost tumbling in the shower.

So I lied. She isn't the grandmother who can tell when I'm lying, so does that make it better?

Amelia is cute. Which is good, because she is driving me insane with all the things she needs my help to do. gah. a few Amelia-isms today:
"I need to go to my dot com!"
"It's more fun when the girls are here."
for sherina "There's a Slytherin thing on your shirt!" (it was a little fruit fly, not a snake, sorry)

In the meantime Frank the nutjob pseudo-contractor showed up, looked around with some teenager, said he was sick last week (I guess to explain why he never came), then left. I thought they were going to install the carpets, but I guess not. gah. The good contractor just died in my book - I think we will have to make a bad contractor character named Frank.

pain, girlies, random, whining
