Заявление из разряда корреляции количества пиратов с глобальным потеплением. Как минимум причину и следствие перепутали: если человек с очень активным и мега-плодовитым умом, то он и вышивать, и на машинке, и на скрипке, и нобелевский лауреат. А кто не настолько крут - тому хватает ресурсов только на то, чтобы быть "среднестатистическим" учёным.
Я в этой статье не нашёл о том, что хобби и увлечения увеличивают эффективность учёного. Там речь именно про корреляцию:
