I've heard of sneaking IN, but OUT?! That has to be a first. But seriously, who wouldn't after some stranger says that he's glad that he's lost his friends, cause that means he can sleep on your couch! Right. My roommie really knows how to attract them. So, off to the "bathroom" we went, coatcheck, then when we saw the guy approaching from one side, we took off in the other direction and headed to the exit. Really - when you say "we're gonna go look for our 'friend'", you don't expect some weird guy to say "Oh I'll, just follow you then." No, just... no. But it sure makes for a funny story!
In other news, the Olympics are back, so of course that means I've been vegetating for 2 days! I can't help it. They only come on every 2 years (counting summer and winter) and most of these sports I'd never watch, normally. Only hockey, but international hockey is so much different (read: better) than NHL, so it's almost like a whole new sport. And I get to be all patriotic and surprisingly sensitive. Watching them raise the flag and play the national anthem makes me want to cry. If I was on that podium, I'd be bawling my eyes out! But it's not just watching MY team win that does it. I can watch a Tim Horton's commercial (talk about cheesy), but they make me weepy too! Man, what is with me.
But these Games couldn't be at a worse time... I have assignments and exams to study for. And I know that the medal tally will not be a question, nor will "Which Canadian won the first gold medal of these games?"... If only - I smell a nice bonus question though... (Too good to be true, I know!)
I think speed skating is on, or skiing, or maybe skating?... Must go watch. I can work at the same time... right?...
