There was blood enough; he could have had the old king's shape, or the alchemist's; but this was the most nearly natural, and indeed it suits him. Taller than most humans, broad and strong, a leonine face and piercing eyes; he's perceived, though he's never had eyes till now, how people respond to Hohenheim's presence as well as his words. Oh, it will suit him very well.
He smiles, pleased with his success in that simple gesture.
"I took the form I thought was most appropriate," he says, feeling the breath pass his lips, and as always it's mostly truth.
