This is what happens when a plot bunny sinks its teeth into my brain and cannot be shaken loose. I wrote this today. It's Anita/Micah... let me know what you think; I'm curious if the intended reactions of Anita and Micah come across.

First, you made my day, even more so than the Inevitable chapter. I love Anita/Micah.

Second, this felt like a continuation of Micah. The style was so smooth and felt right.

In short (which is about all I have energy for) I loved it!

I like Anita/Micah even more now that I've read Micah. It's very necessary to understanding his motivations, and really they needed to be examined (he was too much of a mystery)

(I had to read part of Micah to get this down, so that's maybe the reason)

Your going to ruin me. You write so closely to Laurell's style that I forget sometimes that what you write isn't canon. I'm going to have to read Incubus Dreams again right before Danse Macabre comes out, otherwise I'm going to expect that Olaf cut off Nathaniel's hand and hair and Micah has a tough homelife.

Just to let you know, that wasn't a coplaint, but the hugest compliment ever :) I liked the little joke at the end and the more Nathaniel the better!!

It wouldn't be an Anita/Micah-at-home story without Nathaniel. He's *always* around. It needed to be addressed (and put that slight "is my son gay" addition into Franklin's mind. Oh, my OCs)

There was no way I could make this a tiny story. It needed to touch on so many areas... I'd have liked it to be shorter, but oh well. I wasn't using today for anything :D

no. actually, it's been pretty decent. i was just empathizing with anita, which is hard to do considering vastly, vastly different fields. hehe.
