Ah, the but-buts. If it makes you feel any better, I've done that on occasion to my own work, after I've finished a chapter.

Well, I mostly learned about Firefly through your writing, so there's one. And I haven't watched very much Smallville. But that's the point: One needn't know the fandoms backwards and forwards to enjoy your stories.

For instance: Where you have Anita and Company in the Firefly universe, you provide enough information on the Reavers' techniques and tactics, and on Anita's skills, to make it quite clear how Anita is likely the most powerful force possible against these clowns.
