Such devastating losses for a few of my friends this week. There's no GOOD time for loss, but it must be especially sharp when so many are focused on family. One of the losses was the 22-year-old daughter of two fellow Cornell alums I know from their WVBR connection. She had graduated last year and begun a promising TV journalism career, and it was so fun to watch. Another, the mother of a local friend on her way to visit for the holidays. (If you're around here, you probably heard about that accident.)
It's making me appreciate all the more the moments of joy as I see a few more friends welcome newborn family members. Hugs to all.
