DONE
Rough draft of Novel #3 got finished yesterday morning. It came in at 92,250 words with an actual word count and 112,750 words with proper formatting and 250 words per page. It of course needs major work. The action is mostly in the last 30,000 words and needs shuffling. The beginning needs cutting and added background. And I possibly need the POV in more than one character, at least in small part. But, it's done, and if I don't ever write another epic battle scene it might be too soon,.
Otherwise the last few weeks have been very busy and fairly lousy. Picked up one more class because we've got tons of new students. So I have 5 classes, with 3 different levels of anatomy & physiology I'm trying to keep straight. I also am back to 2 night classes a week, but have nothing before 9:30 am. I'm still keeping track of what students I haven't seen and which ones have added and I need to repeat a mini-version of my first day info with. *sigh* But their lack of care or thoughts about responsibility should not be my worry, and my life will be better if I remember that.
Also, portions of my HD on my little Eee PC laptop and writing computer formatted itself last Tuesday. Programs are all still there, but all documents and pictures are gone. I still have no clue what happened. My guess is kitty paws on laptop function keys which are set up badly in the first place. Luckily with novel 3 I only lost a few hundred words. And I have versions of Novel 1 & 2. But I can remember at least 3 stories that I'm missing rough draft for, most of the stories I've written in the last year. Both me and Jedi think there's another flash drive around that I was using and that should have the backups on it. Kitty is also probably responsible for the missing flash drive. I need to do a major search for it and several other missing items around the house.
Worse case, I rewrite the stories. It's not the way I work, but two of the missing rough drafts I really liked, and should be able to rewrite. The third I liked, but writing it was a slow process for other reasons. Hopefully I can just luck out (that will happen again someday, right?) and find the missing flash drive with the backups.
And I need to get done to the other tons of work on my one day in my office this week.
