Otacon turned to him, startled. “Well, sure it is. There's the-”
“No.” The young man cut him off with an imperious gesture. “Absolutely not. The mustache is a remote possibility, if it's far in the future, but the ponytail- No. There's no way.”I love how Ocelot's future self offends his fashion sensibilities with his choice of hairstyles. A ponytail is a far cry from Ocelot's short crew, so it's no wonder he would think that. Cute bit of characterization there. One gets the impression that Ocelot is very fastidious, like a cat

Haha, yes!
The fascinating thing about Ocelot in MGS3 is how you can see the seeds of the person he eventually becomes being planted, and how you can guess at the things that shaped them over their gestation. As much of a bastard as he is, young!Ocelot has this weird kind of idealism that I imagine he would consider old!Ocelot to be an utter betrayal of.
the tie-in to the torture with electricity and Volgin's abilities was quite clever
That's actually the first thing I thought of during that scene ingame. Well, that and, "Hey, I'm just pounding the X button out of force of habit."
As the dogs go...yeah, I couldn't help it. Hey, you'd start reaching out to anything you could think of for names too, if you had to come up with fifty of em =)
