A quick question for the S3 organizers.

Are you going to be doing an orphan post for those who didn't get anything from the exchange either this year (or even last year if the data still exists)?  I'm not trying to be impatient or anything I just thought I'd give a friendly reminder that's all.

This reminds me all I got last year for the exchange was an unfinished sketch (but I suppose that's better than nothing).

It would be good for it to happen (would have been last year, too) but I don't have the time or energy to organize something like this that frequently (if I did manage to do it somehow, it'd likely throw me out of the loop elsewhere and this is a year when I can't afford many setbacks). Can't speak for the other mods/the primary _fanworks mod, but there you go.

I don't know how this works (lol, noob) but if you wouldn't mind explaining it to me (message if it's easier) I'll see what I can do...

:/ I'm getting a tad frustrated that, once again, an exchange has gone by, and I haven't gotten my gift. I know I was a little late getting mine posted, but at least I did it.

I'm not even sure who got me. I'm guessing it wasn't the same person I got, right?

I can guess how bad it feels to be out in the cold, which is why I liked the orphans meme in '09; I didn't exactly get a fill that year and it felt nice to ease things up just a little for those who were in the same boat. Getting a quick fill was also sweet.

I thank you for your quick reply Oude but this poor planning comes off as kinda inconsiderate. And I hope this problem does not plague future exchanges.

First off, I was not involved in the physical gift exchange in any way. I didn't plan, assign, or even participate because it wasn't something I could do at the time. I also don't know who Slythgeek's gifter was in that exchange, at all.

I assigned the prompts the same way to everyone, and haven't had any complaints back from the person who got Slythgeek's. Moderators cannot influence whether people actually fill and post, but I am sorry to hear this has befallen the same participant twice in a row. But it really doesn't have anything to do with the planning.

I'm sorry to hear about this. I don't know who was meant to do your gift in the physical exchange as I wasn't organizing or even participating in it, but it's unfortunate this has happened to you twice in a row. Mods really can't influence whether people do their fill or not, though I wish there was anything we could do to ensure everyone does get their gift. (And no, it wasn't the same person, but I can't say anything more.)

Pretty much just the meme, you know just to get some sort of fill.

I come on behalf of your gifter to say that your gift will still happen, but has unfortunately been delayed due to IRL concerns.

Just to let y'all know that I'm giving it 'til the end of this week, and I'll put up an orphan post for any lonely unfilled prompts :)
