Today was quite possibly the most exciting day of my life, but I’m going to begin by talking about my excellent weekend!
Friday night I went to the mall and dinner with Kate, Joanna, and Meg. We went to the new Smoky Bones in the mall (it’s about 20times nicer than the one in Springfield, big surprise!). Yay for their chicken fingers and AMAZING donuts! (Actually, I’ve never met a donut I didn’t like!) We then went shopping and although I got some awesome shirts on clearance at Aeropostale, I restrained myself from getting a really cute shirt at Forever 21 that said “I heart Italian boys” above a pic of Supermario! The dumb RIPTA stood us up, though, so we ended up taking a cab back.
Saturday, after a 3hr choir rehearsal, Meg and I were picked up by my dad and we went 2 my house. That evening we went to the CHS spaghetti supper and musical. Gosh, it was weird going back. That’s all I’ll say (I don’t want to make fun of anyone because I hear CHS kids now think it’s cool to use what people say in their lj against them, cuz that’s mature.)
Anyways, the musical was SPECTACULAR, to say the least. I am so proud of all you guys, especially a certain redheaded Jack and the beanstalk! (You better dye back and cut that hair soon, the play is over!) Dan’s Chinese food line was so funny!
After the play, we went to the cast party in the cafeteria, where the idea of getting high for these kids was sucking the helium from the balloons. Yup, this is the CHS music dept I remember and love, lol. It was weird going back though, because I feel so much older now. I was thinking to myself “these kids don’t look old enough to be in high school!”
The next day, Sunday, was my big concert! It was the first concert in the new Arts Bldg, and it was spectacular! Between the acoustics of the theatre, the orchestra, and the beautiful music, WOW! My favorite part was the 2nd part of the Bernstein piece, with Chris, the adorable 10-yr-old soloist! I started crying when he sang.
After the concert, Chris (my boyfriend, not the soloist) and his family came to take me and Meg to dinner. We went to Johnny Rockets and of course I got my fave Oreo milkshake (it’s orgasmic!) We kinda got lost on the way home, but oh well, more time to spend with Chris and Meg!
So now onto today, the GREATEST DAY EVER. Now Chris went to Roger Williams yesterday to visit it, which is why he came to see me afterwards. He said he loved the school, but I didn’t want to get my hopes up, after all, he also loved Clarkson. He promised that by today at 2pm he would have decided on a college, but I wasn’t allowed to talk to him and try and persuade him or anything. So I was going nuts, and at 2:08 he still hadn’t called, so I called his cell, but he didn’t answer. I called back at 2:13, as I started pacing, I was so antsy. I was like “hi its after 2pm. Where are you going?” Chris goes “Clarkson” My heart sank. I wanted him to be happy, I did. Clarkson was a 14hr bus ride away, though. Well, we could do it, even though others thought it was impossible. Then he goes “just kidding, I’m going to Roger Williams!” “CHRIS DON’T PLAY WITH ME, I’M VERY EMOTIONAL RIGHT NOW ARE YOU REALLY GOING THERE DON’T LIE TO ME ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO COLLEGE IN RHODE ISLAND?!?!” I yelled. Meanwhile, blonde meg and Willow were listening to this and laughing. “Megan, I am going to Roger Williams. It’s final. Really” he said. I couldn’t help it. I started tearing up and shrieked an earpiercing squeal at the top of my lungs! Meg and Willow were dying of laughter at this point!
Well, that is right. Chris is going to school in RI next year, so we’ll be able to see each other every other week or so! I’m so happy! YAYYYYYYYYYYY
