Jessie's girls

So I was mailing 2x4 yellow lego bricks to people today, putting smiles on hundreds of children's faces, when "jessie's girl", one of my fave songs of all times, came on the radio. This reminded me of a convo that molly and i had the other day about this song, and I soon got to thinking of just how many amazing people named jess (or some variation) there are in the world of entertainment. So here it goes: Megan's Jess Hall of fame (in no particular order)

1) Jessica Spano- the brainy, curly-haired tall girl on saved by the bell. For the record, I NEVER LIKED jessie. She irritated me, because she was tall (I was not), she was a perfectionist (which I was), and she was a feminist (I hate feminists! I prefer WOMEN WON"T!) Also, she couldn't hold a candle to kelly kapowski, my idol. Kelly was one of those rare girls at Bayside who was popular AND brunette! She also shared my pain of an annoyingly long polish last name ending in "owski". Jessie's shining moment, perhaps, came when she had her infamous breakdown: now sing along everyone: "I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so, soo, scared!" That taught me that drugs are bad, even just caffeine pills, lol. I think I had a fear of even taking my flintstone vitamins after that episode!

2) Jessie from Babysitter’s club- the ballerina. She never got any attention, and for every 10 claudia books, there was like one Jessie one. Molly, do you have anything to say about this? Anyways, all I remember was Jessie had a brother named Squirt. Cool.

3) Sarah JESSICA parker- I believe that meg said it best: “She has an amazing ability of making everyone, including herself, believe she is attractive”. It’s true. While her clothes are always amazing, (especially the shoes), I just don’t get it. Her hair is frizzy and she has that nose! Also, her character on sex and the city was a smoker- big downfall for me. She was a likeable character, however, and I cried with joy when she ended up with Big in the finale.

4) Jess from Gilmore girls. Oh Milo ventimiglia, what an amazing last name! He was the rebel who broke up dream couple rory and dean. (I always thought dean was really gay, though, and was waiting 4 him to come out to rory). Side note: in real life, Alexis Bledel is dating milo now.

5) Jesse mccartney- I saw him in concert unknowingly two years ago when there was a radiodisney show at a Hartford Wolfpack hockey game. I remember sitting there thinking “oh gosh, what an aaron carter wannabe!” Well, fast forward to 2005, when an amazing new song hit the airwaves: “I don’t want another pretty face, I don’t want just anyone to hold, I don’t wanna let a moment go to waste, I want you and your beautiful soul!” Meg, that one goes out to you!

6) Jesse Metcalfe- who plays the UBER-HOTT gardener John on my fave show- desperate housewives. Jesse's actually from CT!!! I never believed he was only 17, though. I mean, he's played by a 24-yr-old! Anyways, if you are good enough for my fave housewife, Gabrielle, then you are good enough for me, John! I hope in september they reveal that the gardener is the daddy of gabby's baby!

7) Jessie from Jessie’s girl- This has always bugged me: they spell Jessie like the girl name, but it’s a guy. Kinda weird. Molly and I were talking about how we always wondered if this song was really about a girl named lori loughlin, better known as Becky Donaldson-katsopolus. That’s right, the wife of …

8) SAVED BEST FOR LAST- UNCLE JESSE KATSOPOLUS! If only I realized how hot john stamos was when the show was still airing new episodes, but hey I was in like first grade! Anyways, I really don’t know what to say about uncle jesse. When I was little, I thought full house was called the “uncle jesse and michelle” show, really! John STamos, thank you for making a mullet actually look good! For more info, check out http://www.wwujd.com

And those, my friends, are some of my fave jessies, feel free to add ur own!
