[Lucy is kicked back on the couch in a pair of sweats and an Alabama tee shirt. Her feet are on the coffee table and she's flipping through channels on the TV]

It's quiet. I'm bored and also entirely lazy. Can't the excitement come to me? I don't think it's asking too much. They could bring dancing half naked boys with them if they wanted.

lucy is a tv addict, lucy is bored, lucy likes boys

Maybe the deities will hear you and curse us all with a dancing half naked boys curse. Or... you could just go down to the strip club and see some.

A raining men curse? That'd be fun.

Also a good idea. You wanna go?

[A few moments later Jill is bounding down the stairs in a pair of skinny jeans and an over-sized off the shoulder sweater. She had knee high four inch heel boots on and carries a big bag with her for a purse. Her hair is up in a loose bun.]

Luce?

[Lucy beams at Jill. She's wearing something very similar to Jill's outfit but her hair is all loose curls down her back.]

Ready when you are. You look great, Jilly.

Thanks, so do you.

[She opens the door and they lock it behind them as they head out into the cool air. The City seems so normal around them without the curses. It's weird. Cause they all know that underneath it isn't all that normal. Jill links arms with Lucy as they walk.]

So we've cured the lazy part. So now we work on the bored part.

Tonight won't be boring at least. It's a good place to start. I'm okay with living in the now. [Lucy smiles as they walk along.] Add in some humidity and make it a little warmer, it could be home-ish.

[Jill glances at Lucy, her brow arched. It's like dejavu suddenly.]

People keep talking about living in the now.

Do they? Maybe that's the curse. We just think we're not cursed but we really are.

[It's a possibility. One Jill had thought of already. But being cursed to talk about living in the now? That was a new one.]

We'll I'm not very good at living in the now.

That's why you have me. I'm a now sort of girl. Stick with me, Jilly Bean.

Alright, so you've always been a now sort of girl and I've always not been... what makes you think that's going to change?

[Asked amusedly as Jill lightly squeezes Lucy's arm in the crook of her elbow.]

Doesn't have to. I'll drag you back into the now a little and you'll drag me forward into the future a little.

Or the past, depending on which I'm dwelling on at any given moment.

[At the bar, she opens the door to let Lucy in and then follows her inside, letting her eyes adjust to the dimness inside. The music is just the right decimal of loud and the smokey air is already making her want to have one of the cigarettes in her purse. She leans in to speak into Lucy's ear.]

Where do you want to sit?

[Lucy surveys the bar, lips pursed as she does.]

Table over there by the stage?
