I think I fell in love with Kyle Gallner during this episode. I've been thinking about this all day, and that entire scene on the rooftop is just incredible. INCREDIBLE. Kristen Bell made me cry for about an hour, the way she screams "HE KILLED MY FATHER" sends shivers down my spine. And that, for me, is why Kyle Gallner is just so awesome, because even after that moment where we realize all that Beaver's done and all he's taken away from her and from EVERYONE, I still manage to feel bad for him at the end. When he's on that ledge, and says "MY NAME IS CASSIDY", I just started to feel like, how would he have turned out if he'd been brought up by a normal family? It's just so, so tragic.
I loved this episode too. So, so much. And Jason Dohring also brought it last night. When Logan's inching towards Veronica? Saying "you're not a killer"? GAH. Just, love.
(I completely delayed my email so I could include my VM thoughts, but hey, I'm posting them here now mostly, so forget that! Heh.)
And I completely agree about Dick. I'd LOVE to see him changed. Maybe we'll see the darker side of Dick. (Why YES, that was a play on "softer side of Sears". And I had to point that out, because I'm proud of myself for coming up with it, and I'm a dork. Which you know.)
I just can't wait to rewatch the season and reexamine all of Beaver's scenes. (Ok, crazy thought here....I actually feel a LITTLE BAD when I say Beaver now. Like, I'm helping contribute to what drove him crazy. Never mind that he's already dead, so it doesn't matter, and of course, the tiny fact that he ISN'T REAL.)
