stuck at the airport...
I got bumped from my flight from Denver to San Francisco today, so now I get to hang out at the airport for 6 hours waiting for the next flight. joy. Good thing I have my laptop and 2 DVDs to pass the time by. Since I haven't posted anything of substance, I guess I will ramble on here for awhile now.
I had a wedding in Texas last weekend and a wedding in New Orleans this weekend, so I took the week off of work in between and went home to visit my family. I feel like I have been gone forever. The weddings were fun, but as usual, going back to Austin has re-kindled the deep homesickness I feel everytime I go there and desire to one day move back.
My grandma is cute as ever at 100 and 1/2 years old. Can you believe it?! Good old german stock. :-) Her short term memory is almost non-existent, but having worked in an assisted living with an Alzheimer's facility, I know how to deal with it, and just want her to be healthy and happy for the remainder of her days here.
When I get to work on Monday, I will have two new bosses. They both sound great, though, so actually kind of looking forward to learning from new people and get a new perspective on my job.
pokee and I are going to go see the Decemberists on Thursday! I am dragging him along with me "for his birthday", but really I am just being selfish because I don't want to go alone. It's a win-win as I see it.
