What particular features do you find disconcerting? (I assume you're coming from 10.6.)

~hugs~ Many of us are unhappy when we're forced to stop using something familiar in favor of something new and unknown. But I'm truly sorry that for you it goes so much further than "unhappiness" or "aggravation." I hope that you can get a handle on it quickly so that you can get back to living real life.

As much as I don't want to do it I'm preparing to upgrade my machines. Mainly cause it's been hinted that the next iOS will require 10.8 to run. I've also been forewarned that I probably won't be able to upgrade directly from 10.6 to 10.8.

I've heard 10.7 was a clusterfuck and was dreading the upgrade.

My laptop, however is saying forever on 10.6 as it works exactly how I need it to and it doesn't sync anything...

FWIW, I don't think I've ever upgraded/replaced a computer without the liberal involvement of curses. I'm very picky and have to have it "just so".
