Napoleon has Altzheimers

Napoleon is in a nursing home and every week Ilya visits him and they play chess even though N. doesn't know him.  The kick in the pants comes at the end when Illya leaves.  He's standing outside the home and pulls out a note giving him the directions to home.  It's terribly sad. I read it several years ago and would like to read it again.

If that doesn't work, I got to it via wayback machine, chose file40.net, chose 2004 to view, went to gen section, page two, and then to stories by Poitras, Karen. (All this sounds more complicated than it is.)

Thanks, selyndaep. It is indeed "The Odd Couple" by Karen Poitras. The first link didn't work, but I got it through the wayback machine. If anyone else wants to read it, follow the directions, except to 2005, not 2004. There you'll find Poitras' stories under a link to Annushka's Dacha.
