Okay, now the flip side

What one character(s), televions or movie, are you absolutely over-the-moon happy was never able to find the coat hook and drop in on MFU?

Whee doggie - any of the Clampetts or Sheriff Taylor... those would be some of my choices.

What say you, cousins?

Phyllis Diller. Although she was groundbreaking, the first successful woman comic, I just can't stand insult comedy. You can add Buddy Hackett and Don Rickles to the list of those I would have banned.

Anyone from Beverly Hillbillies or Petticoat Junction. Actually, Max Baer in a different role might have made a passable villain.

There are probably more I could name, but I'm not allowed any coffee this morning, so....um, what was I saying...?

Ohh, I hate the no coffee thing. My surgeon was taunting me with his Starbucks before I went 'under the knife,' but at least he was waiting for me with a cup when I got out of recovery.

Some comedians would be fabulous, like Dick (Van Dyke) Petrie... Or Max Smart... eeks... I agree with you that any of her characters would have been too caustic for the show.

Rob and Laura Petrie would have been wonderful as Innocents.

Poor Rob would be a mess! And Laura would keep crying.

The Monkees. Season Three was often sad enough in the pursuit to find something fab rather than have a plot.

I liked the Monkees, but I agree, not characters I'd like to see on MFU. Even at MFU's silliest, not silly enough...

In all fairness with the Apple a day Affair it felt like a crossover with just about any rural sitcom from the time period. Take stock hillbilly cliches and insert them with our heroes. Doesn't matter with set of characters when you think about it.

A Gilligan's Island crossover would have been scary and probably not too far out in terms of what season three threw at us.

Which is probably why that one rates as one of my least favorite episodes...

I could just see Illya's face the first time Napoleon referred to him as 'Little Buddy.'
