Just wondering
From a fan from 15 years ago and still a viable question:
So in watching "The Re-Collectors Affair" for the first time in about a million years, I saw something that went WAAAAY over my head back in 1965 (and apparently over the censors).
Illya and this French chickie are pretending to be man and wife and living in her villa. Viewers enter one sequence to see the French gal, who looks like she likes to party, dancing by herself in the living room, grooving to the stereo. And then she sinks down behind the sofa--which is facing away from the viewer--and disappears--which seems a little weird (did she lose a contact lens?). Napoleon enters the place a minute later--and ILLYA, previously unseen, arises from the sofa, where he claims to have been napping.
Any suggestions as to WTF was goin' on behind the sofa? I've never seen any fan fic devoted to the sequence but it sure set off a lot of furry buzzers in my head!
