sa's Video Frame Capture library Here we have a man, a relative of Emory perhaps, who has perfect mind control of individuals. He can terrify a man to death simply by showing him a video. He can convince a trained UNCLE agent to attempt to kill his partner. He can do lots of things, but he can't outwit Napoleon Solo.
It's also pretty funny that Waverly, even at this age, can out-shoot Napoleon.
So, why do you think Partridge was able to get through Illya's training? Why was Napoleon able to break it just as easily? Is this foreshadowing that perhaps its time to take Illya out of the field? He did have a rough season.
