Since the humidity is so high here, the AC systems dry out the inside air. For me that means chapped lips. Hate that. I always have lip balm around. Purse, desk, nightstand, bathroom...
I keep a tinted one in my purse, but I don't buy flavored. I like menthol, cuz the tingle tells me it's working. :)
My favorite is an ancient brand called Boroleum. I can only get it online now. Carmex is pretty good too.
I use Burt's Bees' Balm, honey-flavored, I have to use it at least three or four times a day because I have really dry lips. This is the best stuff ever!! I don't like all the other flavors like spearment, cherry, and about a dozen others. Just the basic honey works best.
I used to have to use it only in the winter, but it seems as I've gotten older, my lips get more and more dry year round.

I suppose I favour plain, but unless it's uber-sunny or I'm going to the seaside I don't especially wear it.
