You looked up from your book and smiled warmly when your childhood best friend walked towards you and wrapped her arms around your neck from behind.
Took of your glasses and looked up at the latter which kissed you on your forehead slightly. You were always did that intimacy with her since you were just a 5 year old kids until now just to tell one another that both of you will be always remember every single thing no matter what.
But, as time goes by, you felt something different with your heart every time she did such thing to you. And when you were 12, you realize that you've fallen for her.
You love your own best friend for 10 years already and you kept it yourself.
"Hi Jessi," you place your hand on her arms and rested your head on her chest before continue reading.
You put your glasses onto it's place while the auburn haired girl took a sit beside you. Jessica rested her chin on her palm while looking at you as smiling.
"So? What with that smile?" You asked without look away from your book.
She smiled even more. "Jinki finally ask me for a date,"
Your heart was like pounding in a bad way but the smile on your best friend - or crush - face made you abandon it. You smiled at her and closed your book.
"I'm happy for that," you said, faked a happy face as usual. "When?"
"Tonight," she said and blushed. Jessica hugs you and buried her face onto your neck.
You were hurt at the fact, but you loved her too much to not be a good friend for her.
"I'll help you getting ready."

That night, when Jinki was finally picked her up and you spend your gloomy night at your room after went home 5 minutes ago; you can't even concentrate with the book you read.
You cannot think of anything but her. Her gorgeous look with her white dress and make up on her already pretty face keeps on running in your mind.
Letting out a heavy sigh, you looked at the invitation letter on your desk and opened it. A scholarship from the university you really wanted to go in America.
Hard time deciding.
It was your dream, but your heart can't even beating without Jessica around you. Confused, you put it again onto its place when your brother Seunghyun peeks on your door.
"May I?"
You nodded while smiling and took the glasses down your desk.
Seunghyun sit right in front of you after he dragged your make up chair and facing you. He glanced at the invitation mail on your desk slightly. You know what will he talking about.
"I haven't decided it yet, Oppa."
He sigh as he rested his elbows onto his things. "You really love her that much,"
A faint smile grew on your face and you looked away. Back rested onto the back seat.
"It's growing as the time goes by."
"Tell her," You looked at him but looked away as soon as he about to continue his talked. "Tell her before you go. The invitation is a big deal for you to reject, my little sist, it's your dream. Mom wanted you to be on of those great lawyer."
"I know," you closed your eyes. 10 years waiting is not a good thing and it was finally made you stressed out. "But Jinki is her boyfriend, and I don't know if she..."
Seunghyun moved closer and hold your hands, tapped it lightly like a father did to his child.
"Fany, try wouldn't hurt you. She's your best friend for almost 23 years now, she would understand," Your brother smiled at you. "You don't have much time until next month. Tell her once. Even though she'll maybe reject you, at the last," He pointed to his own shaped chest. "It feels less heavy."
You looked anywhere but not his eyes. You know he is right, he was always right anyway. Seunghyun is your only family left after your parents died years ago. He also wanted you to made your mom dreams come true for you to be a good lawyer like your dad did. And the invitation is truly a very big deal.
"Thanks oppa." You said weakly when he stood up.

"He gave me rose, sang my favorite romantic songs, and... Aaaahhh~~ I feel sooooo.... Special last night."
Your lips curled up into a faint smile as Jessica couldn't stop from remembering her date with Jinki last night.
You were both at the rooftop - Your favorite place from the first time you accepted by this collage. You sit there at the corner with open books on your laps, wind messed your brown soft hair as you put your palm onto your head to made your hair not turned even mess.
Jessica kneel down and hugged you slightly, kissed your forehead and you closed your eyes as smile. You caress her nose and touched the tip with yours.
"You seem happy with him,"
"I am," another bright smile.
You stared at her for a moment before you opened your mouth to tell her about the scholarship invitation.
"Jess, I think I will--"
Her phone ringing and she picked it up right away. She stood up and walks away to the other side of the rooftop. It must be Jinki. The smiles on her face tell you the truth.
She was happy with him and you can do nothing but let it be. You decided to not tell her about the scholarship invitation and the fact that you'll move to America in about less then a month.

Jessica was too busy dating with Jinki which made you have no time to spend with her. 5 days and there's not even a text or call to tell you about her day.
Your best friend was like abandon you. The auburn haired girl not even sit beside you anymore - she choose to be with Jinki every single second. You were like didn't know her anymore, you were like no one but a so-called-friend she knew yesterday.
You pressed her number and make another call but she rejected it at the second ring. You frowned deeply, your heart is hurt. What did you do? You did nothing wrong.
You called her again but greeted with the voice note. You decided you leave one.
"Hi uh.. Jessi," you sigh. "I don't know what's my fault but um..." You frown. "I'm just wanna tell you that... That I'm gonna move to America in 3 days. I decided to take the scholarship invitation. Yeah... I got it, I wanted to tell you about it but you seem busy with..." You cleared you throat. "So um... I hope you'll be there. Bye."

It has been 3 days and she never make a call. You saw her at the collage but she didn't even bother to even say Hi to you. No, it's not Jessica you ever know.
You wipe away the tears on the corner of your eyes and looked down onto your passport. It feels cold on your sweaty palm. Seunghyun nodded at the gate and he hugged you farewell first.
You dragged the luggage heavily as you took glances every once in a while to your back.
Jessica wasn't there. She doesn't come.
And you feel your heart broken into pieces. She choose Jinki - her 3 months boyfriend - over you, her almost 23 years best friend.
You took a last glance onto your phone screen before you turned it of. Nothing. Jessica was like never ever knew you even exist.
Took out your sim card and you broke it into two pieces before threw it onto the trash bin.
You decided to forget her.
Forever.
