life

Life is funny. just, funny. I feel like my life is being coached by Ron Zook. Before you scoff, here me out. My life lately has been amazingly inconsistent. (much like our beloved Zooker.) I have had horrible lows (like Zook losing to OleMiss at home last year) to amazing highs (like Zook beating LSU, Arkansas, and Georgia in a row last year) back to miserable lows (like Zook losing to Iowa in the Outback bowl.) Yeah, it's been quite the roller coaster. Sometimes I feel like I have plentiful, and awesome friends--which i do! and other times Ive never felt so alone. It's like missing an extra point, than kicking a game winning 50 yarder. And maybe thats why I love this Florida Gator team. Certainly, there are a handful of better coaches out there then Zook. Ok, maybe a tad more than a handful. Yes, the amount of talent we have on our team probably even matches the talent on USC, or Oklahoma. And yes, we lost to a freshman QB who later threw four picks against Auburn. But you know what, Zook is a fighter. Some people (Spurrier) have everything handed to them on a silver platter. Everything is perfect, and nothing can go wrong for them. On the other hand, nothing can go right for Zook. But he fights. He believes in his team, and most importantly he believes in himself. Considering the fact that roughly 50% of Gator nation over his first two years wanted him fired. That fireronzook.com became a national news story. They even flew a banner saying "Fire Ron Zook" over the first Outback bowl. Despite all of that, He has gone 16-10, two January bowl appearences, loads of talent, and the number 12 team in the nation. And you know what, his resilence is slowly but surely winning over Gator fans.
Ok, so I am rambiling. But what does it all mean? It means there are gonna be times when you beat LSU on the road in Death Valley, and its gonna be exhilirating. And there are times you are gonna blow a 23 point lead to Miami and lose. And its going to hurt like nothing ever hurt before. And sometimes people are gonna think you are an idiot for trying to compare life to a football team, and never take you seriously again. Oh well. Those people probably wouldve never even take you seriously in the first place.
