schedule analysis
I'm pretty nervous about this year's team. I'm not really sure why, maybe the fact that this off-season hooplah has been nil compared to last season, or the fear of a basketball championship letdown, but most likely because of the brutal schedule we play.
I mean it's ridiculous. Its absolutely ridiculous when teams critisize SEC teams for scheduling cup cakes when the league schedule is straight from the 7th layer of hell. Let alone, UF annually schedules a matchup with their out of conference rival (also a perennial contender). I'm suprised Jeremy Foley didn't schedule a game with the Steelers at Heinz Field on our bye week before the UGA game.
Anyway, here we go...an honest analysis game by game.
Vs Southern Miss
There is talk that they may move this game to 12:30 instead of it's original 6 pm kickoff in order to televise it. I personally would hate that. There is nothing worse than a 12:30 kickoff game. Nothing. In the world. Nothing comes even close. UF wins in a rout
vs UCF
This will be a fun game because a)UCF is an upcoming team and their fanbase keeps talking about being able to compete with UF, Miami, and FSU
b)UF will completely cruch UCF, collectivily destroying the hopes and dreams of all those budding golden knight fans and setting back the city of Orlando 30 years
at Tennessee
Yikes. Even though UT went 5-6 last year, this game scares the crap out of me. UT plays Cal to begin the season. If the Vols lose to California, UF travels to Knoxville on a Saturday night and will play in front of 110,000 angry angry fans. If UT beats Cal, UF travels to Knoxville on a Saturday Night and will play infront of 110,000 angry fans. Either way, traveling to Knoxville blows. Still, I think Urban has got Fat Phil's number....UF wins in 3 OT's....
Vs Kentucky
Leak throws for 5 TD's in the first half and then the first offense rests...and you know what that means!

Vs Alabama
This Game is going to be sweet! No way UF loses this game. Gators win 31-3. And get ready for me to scream "ROLL TIDE!" in an obnoxious southern accent at all those redneck disgusting Bama Fans...

Vs LSU
UF wins the game, simply for the balls to schedule a major opponent on it's homecoming. Plus, we're due to beat LSU.
Gators will now be 6-0 and national championship talk officially begins!
Vs Auburn
until we go to Auburn. There really is no way we are winning this game. We ALWAYS lose to an SEC west opponent on the road. This year will be no different. Leak will throw multiple picks as Auburn becomes the first team to exploit our weaknesses.
Vs Georgia
Cocktail party...at one point you gotta think that UF's magical run is going to dry up. I mean seriously, we've only lost this game twice since 1990. So we've won the game 14 out of the past 16 times....Plus, Richt is a good coach and UGA's got a good team. We're due for a loss. Commence the Gator Nation spiraling out of control...

Vs Vanderbilt
UF wins...
but in other news, the UF basketball team starts training camp!

This game scares the shit out of me. Spurrier scares the shit out of me. I hate Spurrier. Spurrier is Dead, Long live Spurrier.

Ever wanted to go to a football game completely hammered as to not remember it the next day? This is the one..
Vs Florida State
I have a feeling this FSU team is going to be difficult to beat. And I just don't see UF or FSU ever getting a 3 game winning streak on one another. Gators fall in a close one. Oh well, by now we would have locked up a spot in ATL for the SEC championship game

UF will be a much better team, but the schedule is too much of a hurdle to jump. We can start talking about NCAA championships next year, but for this year, i'll settle for an SEC crown.
