Well...........
And thus we enter a sports lull. Baseball has started, but I'm not really interested until late June. The NBA is heating up, but I've devoted too much time to following college ball, and I don't really get excited for the playoffs until I finally jump on Paul Pierce's bandwagon and see where the C's take me. Spring football is upon us, but I hate spring football and the orange and blue game. Will I go? Ofcourse I'll go! I hate it because its such a tease. After the O+B game, you are pumped and think the season is only a few weeks away. But it's not. It's like an eye of a hurricane, a cruel joke by nature. After the spring game, you endure the grueling football-less summer. (this is the same reason I hate the first week of preseason)
My Longform troupe has had some rehearsals. It's fun, but also challenging because a)you are trying to hold your own against some really good improvers b)long form improv is difficult, atleast for me because it's my first exposure to long form improv. It's not like "party quirks", a stupid game and you have a clear cut framework to guide you.
I'm concerned about our football team. Maybe I am just unsettled, because our basketball team is truly a championship team, and our football team just isn't close. I think we go 9-3 again. Don't get me wrong, I have 1,000,000% confidence in Urban, it just takes a while to build championship programs. Especially when you are playing in the toughest conference in the world.
By the way, if Florida wins the national championship in football, this entry never happened.
Applying to grad school is a pain in the ass
