Aw, I love the cop. I think she's a little stiff so far, but I also like she's willing to play into a) what she thinks is a delusion of Lucifer and b) plays her femininity to get things she wants (i.e. when Lucifer seemed to think she was making a move on him but she was just checking for a bullet proof vest). I suspect a lot of people will not like her because she frankly is the definition of a "Mary Sue" in that she has one unique talent no one else does. But I also kind of like that a woman is getting that position - it's a contrast say to Supernatural where its dudes who have all the special talents and the demons who try to seduce them/figure them out are female. And since she is the only one, it lessens the whole "man confused by woman" trope it could have been.

(The jealousy trope between the female demon and Chloe might get a little old though, if only because it feels like a trope of the demon losing Lucifer to the "good girl" rather than an emphasis on the demon being frustrated by Lucifer's encroaching humanity. I'm hoping she gets a bigger role to play.)

I like the shrink too in that she sees him a little too clearly despite his own enchantment upon her (and some serious ethical violations she's making, lol).

And yes, last night's case itself was dull, but I think that was because the case wasn't the point, but rather the effects and its influence on Lucifer and Chloe. Makes me think of Castle where 80% of the time I am bored by the case (and figure it out 10 minutes in) but I keep coming back for the characters connections with one another.

Anyway, I'm not trying to make you change your mind, just highlighting, I guess, why I like it. :)
