Heroes Premiere Mini Commentary
Yes, I am a whole week late. Shut up. I was going to try and wait until tomorrow so I could watch three hours straight, but given I didn't have to study for a test anymore, I couldn't contain myself.
Ok, so I loved this episode, actually. Well, everything except Nathan. You know, normally, I trust the writers. I also tend to like characters everyone else hates (Jo, Bela, Ruby). But, I really feel like Kring and co fucked up Nathan. Which sucks, because he had the potential to be and was the most morally conflicted and best character on TV.
I need my own canon. Where Peter discovers this Nathan isn't Nathan, and goes, digs up Nathan's real body and uses Claire's blood to bring him back. Because Claire's blood is the ultimate deus ex machina and by golly, they should use it. So Peter brings back Nathan and they actually kill Sylar this time.
Which speaking of...what's with Peter ignoring Nathan's calls? I mean, he doesn't know. He wasn't in on that meeting. Unless they've told him in this lost six weeks? Doubtful, though. So, Peter's just full on cutting himself from everyone? But he and Nathan made up. they only thing that makes sense is that Peter knows. But that doesn't make sense in regards to the show. So, I'm really lost.
Oh! And anyone else suddenly feel the HRG/Tracy vibes? Like, I really think it's more about having someone there, but it still felt...strange. Like the actors acted as if they think the two characters will develop a relationship.
But yeah. I'm fascinated by this Carnival as much as I'm annoyed by the leader forcing the henchman. And what's with the tattoos? Whose power is that? Because Samuel moved the earth. But he also put the tattoo on the henchman. Yet, the chick is the one who knows things about the tattoos.
Also, lol at the ending tattoos. Always about Peter, Claire and Sylar. What can they do for these carnival folks?
And two comments about Hiro. 1. The old man dying. Bending time/space is just really hard on the body? Why did that guy last so long (he's old) while Hiro is dying in his 25-30's?. 2. Ummm, YEAH. I so guessed the nosebleeds and headaches and dying bit as a result of power usage. I even wrote fic about it. Back in season 1.
Adrian is still fine as ever. Mmmm, I want to tap that ass. Literally. His ass is so sexy in those dress pants.
Zachary Quinto, I missed you. Also, how can you be so evil yet so damn cute with that baby at the same time??
Also. WHEN IS PETER GOING TO GET HIS FULL POWER BACK, DAMN IT?? THIS IS SO UNFAIR AND ONE-SIDED RIGHT NOW.
