Look, the group is well-meaning. I understand that. After all, think how many of our comms say "if you're under the age of consent in your country, turn back now". But it's so easy to change your age on your profile. It's the internet; people lie. So I understand this group wanting to protect innocents. I think even most of us would admit our stuff is not for everyone, some might admit it's morally wrong.
I can't blame them, per se. It's kind of like welfare. You allow it all and some will abuse it. But if you don't, then those who need (or in our case, do it harmlessly) it, can't get it.
But I don't have to like it.
I will only go friends-only as a last resort. I don't require anyone to read me, I make warnings. I don't advocate underaged reading, drinking, or sex.
But you also know me--I'm very laissez faire about most things. This is just another one. I'm not going to protest, I'm not going to rant, and I won't encourage deletions. I'll hope it doesn't happen to me or my comms. But as long as I'm not accused/put in jail for some creative thoughts (when you think that I'm not the only person to do this--much less the most public), I'm not going to panic.
Drama. I tell you. *shakes head*
