honestly
Everyone asks me "so how are you liking California?" and i say "oh it's nice. it's different you know...the weather is really pretty and the ocean and mountains..." but you know what? you can be in the coolest place with lots to do and hip people and all, but really...i miss Oklahoma. stupid conservative boring Oklahoma. because, i did more fun things there than i do here honestly. i had friends to do things with when i did get to go out. i had family. and maybe the clubs and bars there aren't as hip as here, but i am kind of over trying to be uber-hip anyway. that's why i wasn't really fitting in with a lot of my old friends in OK i guess. i dunno. just suffice it to say that i'm not loving it here.
anywho...
i think Lorelei had a lot of fun on her birthday. she got to play with her friends outside a lot and we had Curtis and Cynda and a girl that lives in the apts with us named Rebecca and her 2 daughters over for dinner and cake and presents. i made stuffed shells and meatballs and salad and i baked a cake. i got Lorelei some balloons at party central which i think she liked more than her presents. she LOVES balloons. when the grandparents called and i told her they wanted to say happy birthday to her she said "happy birthday Lorelei!" and also sang the happy birthday song to herself all day. she's a cute girl.
